Her parents were Thomas Murray & Maria Roche.
Thomas Murray was born in 1871, his parents were Martin Murray & Margaret Doyle. Martin was born about 1811 in Clonegall Carlow, and Margaret was also born there about 1815. They were married in Clonegall in the year 1836, and had their first child there, a daughter named Jane. Jane was born on 23 april 1837 and the family was living in the townland of Carrigduff. They left Clonegall around this time and moved around the county. Martin & margaret ended up in a place called Newtownbarry, which is nowdays known as Bunclody Co, Wexford.
Maria Roche was born 1861 Carlow. Her parents were Thomas Roche & Elizabeth Breen and they lived in Philip St, Bagenalstown. Maria had a brother Thomas born abt 1863. He married a Mary Mulrooney and they had 2 children Elizabeth b 24/5/1896 and Thomas b 28/11/1905. This Thomas married a schoolteacher from Carlow called Mary Corcorn and they lived in upper Kilree St, Bagenalstown. Maria gave birth to a son Patrick on 23/1/1891. He was baptised Patrick Roche as Maria was not married. She then met Thomas Murray and they were married in Bagenalstown on 25 april 1899. Their one and only child together was born on 9/1/1901 Margaret Murray.

Her parents were Edward Byrne & Ellen Shortal, Edward b 1909 & Ellen b 1916.She was the 2nd eldest in a family of 7, four boys and three girls.The rest are as follows.

Statia's granparents were James Byrne & Statia Breen , and Martin Shortal & Ellen Hoban. Ellen Hoban died giving birth to her only child Ellen, Statia's mother.
Statia married Edward Gough on 4/6/1963 in the church of the Assumption Paulstown Co, Kilkenny.

Lar Lakes was married to Sarah Gough below is a memorial to Lar's brother Joseph Lakes.
Josephwas born at Shankill Paulstown in 1891. He was the son of James and Maria Lakes. The family moved to Kilree St bagenalstown. He inlisted in Kilkenny with his brother Lar in the 1st battilion of the Royal Irish Regiment. On Monday the 10th of May 1915 Joseph lakes was killed in action during the 2nd battle of Ypres. His brother Lar survived the war. The family name of lakes was also spelled Leakes at that time.
