Most of the school records for the old convent in Bagenalstown were lost or destroyed when it was torn down, to make way for the new Beam center. But as luck would have it a few were saved and i was lucky enough to get to go through them, and the following is what i found.
Sarah Gough born 1898 started school on 3rd July 1905 her age was given as 7yrs and her fathers occupation was Tinsmith.
Thomas gough born 1901 started school on 3rd July 1906 his age was given as 5 and fathers occupation was Tinsmith.
James Gough born 1904 started school 3rd July 1907 his age was given as 4yrs but in fact he was only 3 fathers occupation was Tinsmith.
Joseph Gough born 1906 started school 30th May 1910 his age was given as 4yrs fathers occupation was now Dealer.
John Gough born 1908 started school 3rd March 1911 his age was given as 4yrs but he was only 3 fathers occupation Dealer.
Esther Gough born 1911 started school 1st Feburary 1915 her age was given as 4yrs fathers occupation was Dealer.
Joseph Gough born 1862 started school 1st September 1866 his age was given as 4yrs Fathers occupation was Chimney sweep
Patrick Gough born 1864 started school 1st October 1869 his age was given as 5yrs Fathers occupation was Chimney sweep.
